Loretta Marron is the CEO of the Friends of Science in Medicine. She has promoted an evidence-based approach to medicine since being diagnosed with cancer herself. In the media, she has presented exposés of unproven treatments, some of which have resulted in successful legal prosecutions. She was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for her service to health, and she has been Australia’s “Skeptic of the Year” three times.
